To surround the Blessed Sacrament Area, the building committee and architect developed a plan to incorporate beautifully -crafted wrought iron gates with a matching arch in the wall space behind the altar. The hand-forged bars and cross pieces are embellished with artistic grapes and wheat with 24K gold burnishing. Respect, reverence and Eucharistic symbolism are depicted through the use of material, style, and design. These wrought iron features were designed and created by David Ponsler of Wonderland Products, Inc. in Jacksonville.
The Organ and Choir Area
The organ procured for St. Joseph's Church was carefully selected for its reputation as one of the finest musical instruments specifically designed for worship sanctuaries. The instrument, a Rodgers 960, possesses outstanding sound technology and a superior pipe organ sound, and is also capable of accommodating St. Joseph's unusually large worship space. Built entirely in Oregon by dedicated, expert craftsmen, the console is meticulously hand -crafted of hardwoods and veneers, designed to the exacting standards of the American Guild of Organists.
The tiered choir area provides a visually pleasing and acoustically balanced platform for jubilant musical celebration by the singers and musicians of St. Joseph's Music Ministry.
