Your parish priests and deacons understand the pain of those for whom divorce seemed the only recourse.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) encourages divorced persons who wish to marry in the Catholic Church to seek counsel about existing options that may remedy their marital situation, including the suitability of an annulment when there is no longer any hope of reconciliation of the spouses.
An annulment is a declaration by the Diocesan Tribunal (a local Catholic church court) that a marriage thought to be valid according to Church law actually fell short of at least one of the essential elements required for a binding union.
If you have any questions regarding an annulment, please contact one of our Parish Priests or Deacons at the office, 904-268-5422, or James Griffith, our Annulment Advocate, at [email protected].
